Frenzic: a brilliant iPhone game

Frenzic in full swing on my iPhone in the UK

I’ve been meaning to blog about Frenzic for some time now, but every time I think of doing it, I end up playing the game, and then I forget about writing! But I’ve finally managed to tear myself away from the most addictive game I know.

Frenzic is a deceptively simple game: there are six empty circles arranged around a central circle. Pie wedges, similar to the ones found in Trivial Pursuit, appear in the centre circle, and your job is to touch one of the outer circles to find a home for that pie wedge. Obviously a wedge can only go into an empty space. You get an extra life (and a power-up, in three of the circles) if you complete a circle with only one colour (there are three colours, green, purple and orange) but by trying for an exclusive circle, you increase the chances that a wedge will appear with no place to go: then you will have to watch as the timer circles round and you lose a life…
