A T-Mobile executive has confirmed talks with Apple to sell iPhone in Germany, lending support to previous reports of a three-way O2, Orange and T-Mobile launch of iPhone in the UK, France, and Germany.

“We have held talks with Apple but have nothing more to say at this time,” said the firm’s mobile phone CEO, in response to a question at a press conference ahead of the IFA consumer electronics show, which opens tomorrow in Germany.

There has been speculation that Apple will announce the launch at IFA, and it’s striking that the responses of both Orange and T-Mobile has been to confirm talks but imply (or state) that a deal is some way off; this may be an attempt to increase the surprise factor so beloved by Apple when announcing products. Time will tell!
